“New particle searches with taus at DELPHI”

Abstract:

The $\tau$ lepton has played a major role in many of the new particle searches

at DELPHI. Several heavy particles predicted by extensions of the SM have a

significant, sometimes dominant, branching ratio to tau. Some of these searches

are reviewed here: neutral and charged higgs, SUSY and technicolor models.
