The paper "Study of the lineshape of \(X(3872)\) using \(B\) decays to \(D^0 \bar{D}^{*0}K\)" in which Hikari Hirata has contributed as the main author, was published in Physical Review D.

This paper reports on the study of the \(X(3872)\) lineshape in the decay \(B \rightarrow X(3872)K \rightarrow D^0 \bar{D}^{*0}K\) at the Belle experiment, important to reveal its structure. In addition to the conventional relativistic Breit-Wigner lineshape employed in previous measurements, they analyzed the mass distributions using a Flatté model that takes the \(X(3872) \rightarrow D^0 \bar{D}^{*0}\) coupling into account. With the Flatté model, also the LHCb experiment studied the lineshape in the \(J/\psi \pi^{+}\pi^{-}\) decay, but to determine all the parameters, it is required to analyze the \(D^0 \bar{D}^{*0}\) decay as well. In this study, they improved the measurement method from previous research and observed the \(X(3872)\) signals from neutral B decays for the first time. They also determine the lower limit on the \(D^0 \bar{D}^{*0}\) coupling constant \(g\) to be 0.075 at 95% credibility level. More information about the paper are reported below.
