A special lecture hosted by N-lab was held from July 2nd to 4th, 2024. The special lecture is aimed at letting the audience come in contact with specialized knowledge and cutting-edge research by inviting lectures in fields related to our laboratory. The special lecture was held in a hybrid format, in-person and online.
For this special lecture, we invited Prof. Kishimoto, who belongs to the Research Center for Neutrino Science at Tohoku University and is at the forefront of research on dark matter and neutrinos. The theme was "Experimental Studies of Neutrinos and Dark Matter," covering a wide range of topics from theoretical perspectives, including the origin of the universe as we know it today, dark matter - an unknown substance that makes up about 27% of the universe — axions, hypothetical elementary particles that are strong candidates for dark matter, and double beta decay experiments. The audience listened attentively to the lecture, which was very interesting and not something that usually can be heard in detail.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Kishimoto for his very valuable lecture over the three days.
