The laboratory will be open to the public at the 66th Meidai Festival on the following dates.
The theme is "Exploring the world of elementary particles with cutting-edge particle accelerators”.
Laboratory staff and students will provide easy-to-understand explanations of major discoveries in particle physics, such as the experimental confirmation of the Kobayashi-Maskawa theory at the KEKB accelerator/Belle experiment, and the discovery of the Higgs boson at the LHC accelerator/ATLAS experiment — both of which led to Nobel Prizes. You will also have the opportunity to experience part of these large-scale accelerator experiments through a guided tour of our laboratory.
Date and time: Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: Room 507, 5th Floor, Building C, Faculty of Science, Nagoya University, Higashiyama Campus ([Access])
No advance registration is required. Please take this opportunity to explore the frontiers of particle physics!
