Dr. Masaki Kawaue has been appointed as a specially-appointed Research Fellow at Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute (KMI), as of August 1, 2026. We have received comments from him and would like to introduce them here.
My name is Kawaue. I received my Ph.D. from Kyoto University in March 2026 and joined the N Laboratory as a specially-appointed Research Fellow at Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute (KMI) this August.
At Kyoto University, I worked on the T2K experiment, which measures neutrino oscillations. My research focused on precision measurements of neutrino–nucleus interactions, which are still not fully understood.
After I completed my Ph.D., I wanted to take on a new challenge in a different area of particle physics. Here, I hope to contribute to improving the performance of the Belle II detectors and to searches for rare tau decays.
